Trapping Power
It is best if we begin by defining what we
mean by power. Without beating any bushes,
most simply put, it is that which holds and
at the same time animates the perceived worlds.
The Sorcerers world is held and animated by the
same power as the world of men.
Where is it? It's right here, but it moves at a different
speed than the world of people and things.
There is a space between the two worlds, where if you
to find yourself there neither world would be perceivable
until you matched it's speed.
In the sorcerers world you are no closer to power than you
are in the world of men.
It is in the crossing the barrier that one comes into contact
with the unnameable force that bends and shapes time and space.
If the only point of seeking that other world was to come into
contact with that barrier the trip would be worth it.
If your going to trap a glimpse of that force you have to
construct a proper trap.
The simplest one being a portion of time(a box ).
Where do you lay the trap? Simple, where the game
is to be found Where is the game in this case found?
All around you right now
Springing the trap
Some of you familiar with what has been written in regards to
Sorcery, are aware that one should not foster routines, but
have not yet come to the unroutine routine. That is, ritual
practices designed to reveal the structure of power, while
supporting the break down of useless routines that drain ones
energy and rob the sharpess of the mind.
You can start by picking a time of day at random, or using the
time it is now, where you are as you read this.
Then for the next 30 days, without fail, make a written
note of exactly what you are, looking at
smelling, tasting, and hearing.Since there is
no plan as to performing any action but perceiving
and there is no need to be at a particular place, the
routine is internal and feeds instead of drains.
At the end of thirty days you read your notes in order
and you will see an invisable force at work.
The next step which can be the first step is to divide the
day.Make a note of when the Sun is highest in the sky.
Think of the first half of the day as a bowl and the
second half of the day as the bowls lid.
The middle part of the day being no more than a
space between the lid and the bowl.
By percieving the day in this manner one begins to connect
the dots correctly.
Like throwing dust into a beam of light the nature of formation
and completion are revealed and stored in the bodies memory.
Once this perception of the working of power is stored often
enough to be second nature enough for the person to act upon,
it may be truly stated that they have acquired the state of
knowledge The longer one sustains this awareness the larger
and more encompassing it grows until it is who they are.
One of power and knowledge. It is far to simple for most
people to respect and therefore they tread upon it while
searching for the very thing they are standing.
